Kelseanna Hollis-Hansen, PhD, MPH is excited to join the Cancer Support Community as a Research Director in the Research & Training Institute. Kelseanna is passionate about identifying, designing and analyzing public health interventions that aim to increase food and medical care equity.
Kelseanna is trained as a behavioral health scientist and public health interventionist. She finished both of her graduate degrees at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York. While completing her master of public health (MPH), she worked to analyze and expand NASA’s Mission X: Train Like an Astronaut school-based childhood health promotion program to an online platform. Throughout her doctoral studies and postdoctoral work at the University of Texas at Austin, Kelseanna focused on identifying and developing person-centered food retail and behavioral interventions that increase fruit and vegetable consumption in under-resourced communities. Kelseanna is looking forward to bringing these skills and experiences into her new role with CSC.
