Madilyn Smith

Coordinator, Education

Madilyn (Madi) Smith serves as the Education Coordinator, where she oversees multiple aspects of the Frankly Speaking About Cancer (FSAC) program operations. In her role, Madilyn leads social media content development and dissemination for the education team, manages data collection and metrics reporting, and coordinates printing and shipping efforts. She also supports digital outreach initiatives, including webinars, workshops, blogs, and social campaigns. Madilyn has spearheaded the development of educational initiatives focused on esophageal cancer, cancer screening and early detection, mantle cell lymphoma, and young adults affected by cancer.

Prior to joining the team, Madilyn gained experience through internships with the American Red Cross, Boys & Girls Club, and Elevance Health, where she strengthened her skills in health education and community engagement. She graduated from Indiana University in 2024 with a degree in Community Health and a minor in Global Health Promotion.

Driven by her passion for public health, Madilyn is committed to expanding health education through innovative and accessible channels. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with friends, exploring new restaurants and recipes, discovering Chicago’s hidden gems, reading a good book, and indulging in reality TV. Above all, she is a proud Indiana University alum—Go Hoosiers!
