Charity Ratings

The GuideStar Exchange Gold Participant distinction is the highest level of participation that a nonprofit can achieve through the GuideStar Exchange and is a testament to the Cancer Support Community’s commitment to data transparency.

The 4-star rating by Charity Navigator is administered based on the combination of the programs and services offered and the way in which organizations function financially.

The Independent Charities Seal of Excellence is awarded to those organizations which meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness and cost effectiveness. Only 5 percent of U.S. charities meet or exceed these standards. The Cancer Support Community is proud to have received this distinction.

The Cancer Support Community was honored to be named as a Top Nonprofit Organization by Philanthropedia following a survey of experts in the field of cancer care who were asked to rank organizations specifically by their degree of positive impact on people touched by cancer.
