Calvin Robinson is currently the Executive Director of Oncology Services at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Illinois, where he has spent the past 4 years leading the operational and strategic visioning for a comprehensive cancer center and nationally recognized oncology research program. In addition, Calvin is currently an active board member for the Cancer Support Community of St. Louis. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, his wife and 2 daughters routinely joined him as volunteers at Cancer Support Community fundraising and outreach events.

Calvin has his certification as a Diversity Executive from the Institute for Diversity Certification. He is currently leading CSC St. Louis’ initiative to becoming a more equitable, inclusive, and diverse organization for its members and the communities it serves. He is also one of the primary architects in the development of the Memorial Health system-wide DE&I division. He has also lead Diversity Counsels for SSM St. Louis and Mercy St. Louis.

Calvin is a St. Louis native and has secondary business ventures in St. Louis, MO. He is committed to improving the lives of the residents of St. Louis City and its surrounding counties. The goal is to ensure that everyone inflicted with a diagnosis of cancer has an equitable opportunity for quality and safe cancer care and support.

Karissa Rates has been with Cancer Support Community Central Indiana (CSCCI) for the past 7 years. She began as the Special Events & Program Coordinator and shortly thereafter transitioned to the role of Marketing & Communications Manager, where her top priority has always been making sure that participants and their family members get connected with the information they need to find help and hope during their cancer journey.

Karissa has also transformed the brand of the CSCCI affiliate by single-handedly executing a complete redesign of the print and digital marketing collateral for the organization and its programs and events. Karissa has recently accepted the new role as Director of Marketing, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, in which she has been working to create a DEI action plan for the organization and has been integral in the implementation the new Community Navigation Program that will focus on outreach to under-resourced communities of color in and around the Indianapolis area.

Dr. Gary Puckrein is the founding President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF), a nonprofit health care research, education, and advocacy organization headquartered in Washington, D.C. The mission of NMQF is to reduce patient risk by assuring optimal care for all. NMQF conducts evidence-based, data-driven initiatives to eliminate premature death and preventable illness. NMQF’s vision is an American health services research, delivery, and financing system whose operating principle is to reduce patient risk for amenable morbidity and mortality while improving quality of life.

Dr. Puckrein received his doctorate from Brown University.

Lailea Noel, PhD, MSW

Lailea Noel is Assistant Professor at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin. At the UT Dell Medical School, she holds a faculty appointment in the Department of Oncology and the Department of Health Social Work. She co-chairs the Health Equity in Research Workgroup and serves on the Livestrong Cancer Institutes’ Clinical and Prevention Research Workgroup and the Breast Clinical Outcomes Workgroup. She is also Director (elect) for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the Association of Oncology Social Work.

Dr. Noel has an extensive practice background in health administration in the field of oncology and nonprofit management. Her research interests seek to connect communities most impacted by cancer disparities with cancer care services by exploring patient-provider communication effects on psychosocial barriers to care. She has a passion for conducting community-based participatory research and has a wealth of experience engaging communities, social scientists, and medical professionals in such research pursuits. She also has been successful at recruiting members of marginalized populations into community engaged research.

Amie Krautwurst, MSW, LICSW

In her role as Whitman-Walker Health’s Senior Manager of Grants and Programs, Amie Krautwurst supports the heath center’s infrastructure through oversight of a wide portfolio of government and private grants along with key program management responsibilities.

Additionally, Amie has served as the Program Director for Cancer Support Community at Whitman-Walker Health since its inception in 2015. She previously worked as WWH’s Senior Manager of Wellness Programs and supervised WWH’s compendium of integrative wellness services and youth prevention programs for more than 6 years. Amie is a licensed independent clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience providing culturally humble health care to members of Washington, D.C.’s diverse communities. She joined WWH in 2012 after earning her Master of Social Work from The Catholic University of America’s National Catholic School of Social Services. Amie is committed to advancing WWH’s mission of empowering all persons to live healthy, love openly, and achieve equality and inclusion.

Sybil R. Green is the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO). A health care policy expert with experience in both corporate and nonprofit organizations, Ms. Green guides ASCO’s internal and external initiatives aimed at achieving the Society’s equity, diversity, and inclusion goals. Motivated by galvanizing events of 2020, ASCO is accelerating its programmatic work in anti-racism and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), which includes new and expanded programs in research, professional development, public policy, membership, publishing, education, and care delivery. As ASCO’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Ms. Green serves as a strategic leader for EDI actions and coordinates resources across the organization to meet its goals and support a culture of continuous improvement. She also liaises with Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation, to help achieve its strategic funding aimed at scaling and growing EDI in oncology. Within ASCO, Ms. Green works with the executive leadership team to implement recommendations and report on progress in advancing EDI across the organization. Ms. Green joined ASCO in 2015 to direct health care reimbursement and coverage aspects of the organization’s quality improvement efforts.

Prior to joining ASCO, Ms. Green held leadership positions in health care compliance and policy in the corporate, nonprofit, and government sectors. She was vice president of health and wellness compliance at Walmart Stores. While at Walmart, Ms. Green served as the VP Sponsor of the UNITY African American Associate Resource Group, which was created to address the concerns of African American associates who were part of Walmart’s 2.2 million associates worldwide. Ms. Green has also served as deputy secretary for the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals and assistant deputy secretary for the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. At the National Association of Chain Drug Stores, she served as director of policy and programs.

Since 2011, Ms. Green has served on the Board of Trustees for the National Pharmaceutical Association Foundation, which supports the minority professional association for pharmacists founded more than 70 years ago, originally to serve African American pharmacists. She also sits on the College of Pharmacy Boards of Visitors for Howard University and Xavier University of Louisiana.

Danielle Davis, MSW

Danielle Davis leads patient and community advocacy initiatives for Gilead’s products and pipeline programs with specific emphasis on HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis and Oncology. Previously, Danielle held several positions across the US Commercial organization during her 15-year tenure. She joined Gilead as a Senior National Account Manager, ensuring access and reimbursement for Gilead products within state and federal government programs. Danielle’s performance in this role earned her 2 President’s Club Awards and a nomination to the inaugural Leadership Development Program (LDP). After completing LDP, Danielle joined the HIV Sales organization, where she led both the East HIV Community Liaison and the D.C. HIV regional sales team.

In 2016, Danielle returned to Managed Markets as Senior Director of Strategic Account Management. In 2017, she relocated to Foster City to lead Managed Markets Training and Operations within Commercial CL&D. In 2019, Danielle participated in a 6-month pilot to develop US Commercial strategic initiatives to achieve Corporate Inclusion and Diversity goals. In addition to her commercial experience, Danielle also has 10-years’ experience in community collaboration, patient advocacy, and mobilizing cross-functional stakeholders to execute on a shared vision.
