Description

Join Cancer Support Community, FORCE, and Brem Foundation for a conversation about cancer screenings and why they matter to both patients and the professionals who support them. This webinar will explain what routine screenings look like for people at average or higher risk. We will discuss how family history and genetics can shape testing decisions, and what to expect from biomarker tests and ongoing follow up care. Our panel will share real experiences with diagnosis, monitoring, and long-term survivorship care. This conversation will explain the common challenges patients face when trying to access screenings. We will also talk about the emotional side of care and offer practical ways to manage stress and “scanxiety.”

After this webinar, you will feel more confident navigating screening decisions and know where to find trusted resources that can support you along the way.

Ashley Che, PharmD

Submitted by tmcbride on Thu, 01/22/2026 - 16:25

Ashley Che, PharmD, serves as the Program Manager of Health Equity at Cancer Support Community (CSC), where she leads and supports initiatives that advance equitable access to cancer support services and strengthen CSC’s reach within underserved and historically marginalized communities. In this role, she collaborates across teams to support programming strategy, community partnerships, and outreach efforts that ensure CSC’s education, resources, and services are responsive to the needs of diverse individuals and families impacted by cancer.

Prior to joining CSC, Ashley worked at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the Office of Minority Health and Health Equity, where she supported national health equity initiatives through scientific research and analysis of clinical trial and public health data, identifying gaps in representation and outcomes across diverse communities. She contributed to cross-sector efforts to strengthen evidence generation and promote inclusive research practices that support equitable participation in clinical trials.

Ashley also served as a Clinical Pharmacist at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Washington, DC, providing direct patient care, medication management, and support for chronic diseases while working closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Her background bridges clinical care, regulatory science, and community-centered engagement, bringing a comprehensive perspective to improving access, quality, and the overall patient experience. Ashley is passionate about reducing barriers to care through trust-based partnerships, culturally responsive communication, and community-informed approaches that address disparities in health outcomes. She is based in Maryland, and outside of work she enjoys hosting and spending time with family and friends, traveling, and working on creative projects and home design ideas.
