

Devon Choltus, MPH
Devon joined the Cancer Support Community as a Program Manager in the Program Development and Delivery department in May 2023. Prior to joining CSC, she managed several interprofessional collaboration initiatives to improve population health outcomes. Devon received her Master's degree in Public Health with a focus on Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2021.

Victoria Gerste MPH
Victoria has worked at Cancer Support Community social enterprise division since early 2022, she moved to the CSC strategic growth department in June 2023. Initially brought on as an intern, Victoria quickly transitioned into a project coordinator position working with the project management team as well as supporting some marketing and advertising efforts. She currently provides customer support to existing and new clients as well as marketing support for the strategic growth team as needed. She is a graduate from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a Master of Public Health from City, University of London.

Damian Piccolo MSC. IT, MBA
Damian Piccolo has worked at Cancer Support Community social enterprise division since 2014, he moved to the CSC strategic growth department in June 2023. He’s focused on the intersection of business processes and information systems and enjoys exploring how to optimize technology enabled experiences for end users. He has a Master’s Degree in Information Systems Engineering from the UTN University at Cordoba, with expertise in web and mobile application development. He earned his MBA from Wheeling Jesuit University, and has been a small business owner and entrepreneur since 2006. Damian was born and raised in Argentina, and currently lives in Northern Virginia with his family, just across the Potomac from Washington DC.

Cate O'Reilly, MSW
Cate O’Reilly joined the Cancer Support Community in 2016 and has worked in various departments for revenue generation and strategic growth. In her role as Vice President of Fund Development, Cate is excited to share the CSC mission and cultivate and expand relationships with individual and corporate donors, foundations and the life sciences industry.
Before joining CSC, Cate worked for over a decade globally in Africa, Europe, Mexico, and the U.S. as a medical social worker. Cate also has worked with several non-profits in a development role and as a board member. She brings marketing and management experience from 6 years in upper retail management. Cate is a highly motivated, mission-driven professional with success in leadership, relationship building, and partnerships in the healthcare industry. She is passionate with a long career in non-profit work that includes clinical, development, and management experience. Cate completed her undergraduate studies at Santa Clara University and her Master’s in Social Work at San Diego State University.
Cate is originally from South Africa but now lives in San Diego, CA with her husband and three children.

CSC Receives 6 Honors for Outstanding Online Resources
Cancer Support Community earned 6 wins in the annual Digital Health Awards competition, organized by the Health Information Resource Center to honor excellence in digital health resources.
WASHINGTON, D.C. ― Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Digital Health Awards crowns the very best in online health resources. In this year’s competition, CSC was featured among other organizations such as AARP, GoodRx Health, Cigna Healthcare, and more.
In previous years, CSC has been honored with multiple awards for our resources that educate, inspire, and even entertain. This year, its e-book series Frankly Speaking About Cancer was honored with a gold award for the second time. The winning booklet focuses on ovarian cancer in the Black and African American communities.
CSC's YouTube channel won a gold award for the third time in a row. Cancer Transitions: Moving Beyond Cancer™, a web-based educational program that aims to ease the transition from treatment to survivorship, earned a bronze award.
