Guided Chair Yoga
What you’ll need: A 4-legged chair, (optional) strap or towel
About the Class
Nurture your body, mind, and soul with this soothing 19-minute seated yoga practice. Chair yoga is a great option when getting down on the floor is not practical, possible, or convenient.
Follow along as Kelly guides you step-by-step through gentle, easy yoga movements you can do from the comfort of a chair. Along the way, Kelly also shares breathing techniques to help you relax and more easily move into and get the most benefits from your poses. Each yoga pose is presented with optional levels of difficulty. This allows you to adapt the movements to your personal needs and flexibility. Over time, you can always try the more challenging versions. So, participate at a pace that makes sense for you.
Ideal for all levels, including beginners, this relaxing, tension-easing class offers all the great benefits of yoga, whether you are living with a cancer diagnosis, consider yourself a survivor, or are in a caregiver role.
Yoga can be a helpful tool for managing symptoms and improving quality of life, according to Beaufort Memorial Hospital. However, there may be important precautions to consider based on your personal health needs. If you have questions about what is safe for you, check with your healthcare provider.
