Katleen, LCSW, is a compassionate and skilled Community Navigator at Cancer Support Community, dedicated to supporting individuals and families impacted by cancer. She holds a Master of Social Work degree from Florida International University.
With extensive experience as an Oncology Social Worker at the University of Miami/Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Katleen specializes in biopsychosocial assessments, resource navigation, patient advocacy, and crisis intervention. Her bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish allows her to provide culturally sensitive care, ensuring patients have access to vital services such as transportation, housing, healthcare, and financial assistance.
Katleen is passionate about empowering patients and their families, fostering meaningful connections, and enhancing access to comprehensive cancer support resources.
Community Navigator
Wendy, LICSW
Wendy joined the Cancer Support Community Helpline as a Per Diem Community Navigator in April 2025 and facilitates groups at one of its local partners. She also maintains a private practice focused on trauma, developmental injuries, and illness. Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors, staying active, traveling and connecting with friends and family.
