Samantha Ammons, PhD

Director, Research

Samantha Ammons, PhD is a Director of Research at Cancer Support Community, where she leads mixed-methods research on patient and caregiver experiences, quality of life, and health equity. Her work integrates qualitative and quantitative data to inform evidence-based programs, policies, and CSC’s broader research agenda.

Prior to joining CSC, Samantha served as a Cancer Research Fellow at the National Cancer Institute, where she led large-scale cohort studies on environmental exposures and gynecologic cancer risk as well as mixed-methods research on cancer survivorship and behavioral risk factors. She earned her PhD in Environmental Health from The George Washington University.

Samantha is deeply committed to advancing health equity by translating research into practical solutions that strengthen support, care, and outcomes, and by helping shape more equitable, patient-centered systems for individuals and families affected by cancer.
