In her role as Director of Education at Cancer Support Community (CSC), Roshni leads the CSC Education team's development, implementation, dissemination, and evaluation of dynamic and multi-faceted education initiatives, including CSC’s hallmark, “Frankly Speaking About Cancer” (FSAC) program. Roshni comes to CSC with nearly 20 years of experience building health education and behavior change programs and implementing strategies to improve health outcomes for individuals and communities. Her expertise in health education and communications, strategic planning and research, community engagement, social marketing, behavioral science, and training and technical assistance has led to award-winning health programs for nonprofits, associations, and government agencies, including leading CDC's Bring Your Brave program to educate and empower young women around early onset breast cancer.
Roshni is passionate about creating plain language, culturally and health literacy appropriate materials that meet patients and caregivers where they are. With cancer experiences within her own family, she knows firsthand the impact evidence-based programs and services can make to a family on a cancer journey.
Roshni lives in metro Atlanta with her husband, two kiddos, and dog. She holds a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Tech and a Master in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. She enjoys tennis, family game nights, traveling, reading, hiking, and cooking.
