Gilda’s Club South Jersey, located outside of Atlantic City, opened its door in 2003. GCSJ provides more than 100 free programs per month of social and emotional support, education and hope for people with cancer and their families. The goal of GCSJ is to provide psychosocial support through a variety of support and networking groups, healthy lifestyle workshops, educational lectures and social activities for people touched by cancer in any way. Programs include patient and family support groups, stress reduction, yoga, nutrition workshops and educational lectures presented by regional, licensed healthcare professionals. GCSJ also provides a robust children’s program called Noogieland, as well as Tween/Teen Groups to offer both age appropriate cancer education and support. GCSJ serves the 8 most southeastern Counties in New Jersey and has satellite and off-site programming in Atlantic City, Egg Harbor Township, Cape May Court House, Vineland and Mullica Hill.
