Katie Southworth has been in nonprofit development and events for over fifteen years.  She has expertise in donor engagement, building out donor engagement strategies, leading revenue-focused campaigns, and strengthening community partnerships. She brings a relationship-driven approach to fundraising and has supported initiatives ranging from signature and peer-to-peer events to marketing and communications planning. 

Her background includes work across higher education advancement, Human Resources with corporate Eaton, company employee experience, and mission-based organizations, where she has helped expand giving programs, improve stakeholder engagement, and develop systems and processes to support long-term growth. Katie is passionate about creating meaningful donor experiences and connecting supporters to impact.

Her career includes leadership roles with United Way, Hope House of Colorado and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. As well as collaborating on mass peer-to peer events to include: the Susan G Komen three-day walk, LLS Light the Night Walk, LLS Team in Training, building the V-Foundation Victory Ride, National MS Society's Muckfest and DAV events.

Her commitment to CSC stems from immediate family having had to navigate cancer diagnosis and understanding just how important support and services are for the entire family.

She is an active-duty USAF spouse and lives in Southern Pines, North Carolina with her husband and young daughter and son and their two dogs
