This year, only about 14,500 people in the U.S. will be diagnosed with a myeloproliferative neoplasm, MPN, a rare group of blood cancers. Living with a rare cancer, like an MPN, comes with a unique set of challenges. The diagnosis can be hard to understand, and treatment is often “watch-and-wait” or symptom management only.

In honor of Blood Cancer Awareness Month in September and MPN Awareness Day on September 11, join us to shine a light on these rare cancers. Guest host Linda House welcomes back to the show Melissa Wright, LMSW, OSW-C, Program Director at Gilda’s Club Quad Cities to talk more about how to live well with a rare cancer.
