Victoria Morris, PhD

Victoria Galica Morris, PhD, joined Cancer Support Community in 2021 as a Director of Research at the Research and Training Institute (RTI). She earned her Ph.D. in Health Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2020, where her training specialized in biopsychosocial determinants of health, quantitative research methodologies and analyses, and psychometric scale development. Prior to joining CSC, she worked in healthcare and nonprofit organizations as a Research Associate and Data Analyst.

Victoria’s professional interests include understanding the effects of ecological systems on health behaviors and outcomes. Her research focuses on social, environmental, and societal factors that impact health outcomes. She is particularly interested in how individuals and groups define “healthy” and the consequences of stigmatizing those who are labeled as “unhealthy.
