Adam R. Borden is the Director of Policy and Reimbursement Strategy at Siemens Healthineers. Adam has had a diverse career in healthcare and has developed deep knowledge and understanding of federal health policy, provider reimbursement and the changing landscape of healthcare delivery in the United States. With a pulse on the daily happenings in D.C., Adam’s current role spans many facets. He focuses much of his time on analyzing policy and reimbursement developments, translating and disseminating the impact to Siemens Healthineers businesses, and developing strategies to ensure successful market access for innovative technologies and services. Adam is also the current Chair of the Reimbursement Committee at the Medical Imaging & Technology Alliance (MITA).
Prior to joining Siemens Healthineers in 2016, Adam was a Vice President at the premier D.C.-based policy consulting firm, Avalere Health. At Avalere, Adam worked closely with life sciences manufacturers, providers and advocacy groups on policy, reimbursement, value messaging, and market access strategies and engagements. He led teams focused on Medicare policy and private payer strategies for therapeutic and diagnostic devices, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. Prior to Avalere, Adam worked in policy and reimbursement at the American Gastroenterological Association and in financial management and clinical education roles at several leading academic medical centers.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers University and a Master of Health Administration degree from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences.
