Do you have an early-stage cancer diagnosis? Are you facing treatment decisions? Consider a clinical trial.

Watch the webinar, Frankly Speaking About Cancer: Clinical Trials for Early-Stage Cancers that took place on October 18, 2016, for what you need to know about early-stage cancer diagnoses and finding clinical trials that might be right for you. Joining a clinical trial for an early-stage cancer can help you reduce the chance of your cancer returning, offer fewer side effects and improve quality of life. An oncologist will give an overview about the kind of clinical trials available. Then a cancer survivor will share how clinical trials impacted her. The presentations will be followed by a question and answer period with the speakers.

The Cancer Support Community recently launched the Frankly Speaking About Cancer Clinical Trials program. This landmark cancer education series is devoted to building awareness among patients and caregivers about the importance of clinical trials as viable treatment options.

The webinar features the following panelists:

  • Brad Hirsch, MD, Flatiron Health, Texas Oncology
  • Mary Clare Bietila, leukemia survivor

This program was made possible by charitable grants from Amgen, Celgene, AstraZeneca, Karyopharm, Pfizer, and Novartis.
