Cosponsor the Telehealth Modernization Act
(H.R. 1332/S. 368)
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, federal and state policymakers created new flexibilities for telehealth and tele-mental health services so that patients can see their doctors from the safety of their homes. These health services should be available at all times to increase patient access to healthcare, and not limited to public health emergencies like the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ask your Member of Congress to Cosponsor the Telehealth Modernization Act (H.R. 1332/S. 368), a bipartisan bill that would increase access to telehealth services for seniors by making permanent certain telehealth flexibilities in Medicare. The bill removes geographic and originating site restrictions to allow patients to receive access to telehealth services no matter their location. It would further allow health centers in both rural and urban areas to continue providing telehealth services when the pandemic is over.
