Cosponsor the Tele-Mental Health Improvement Act
(H.R. 2264/S. 660)
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, federal and state policymakers created new flexibilities for telehealth and tele-mental health services so that patients can see their doctors from the safety of their homes. These health services should be available at all times to increase patient access to healthcare, and not limited to public health emergencies like the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ask your Member of Congress to Cosponsor the Tele-Mental Health Improvement Act (H.R. 2264/S. 660), a bipartisan bill that would increase patient access to tele-mental healthcare services throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and for 3 months afterwards. The bill addresses gaps in tele-mental health coverage by requiring health insurance plans to cover mental health and substance use disorder services provided through telehealth at the same rate and cost-sharing amount as in-person services.
