June is National Men’s Health Month, a time to raise awareness of health issues specific to men and encourage early detection and treatment of disease. In America, men’s health issues can often be overlooked or ignored. Men are statistically far less likely to go to a doctor than women, feel less comfortable reporting health problems and are more likely to face social stigma for reaching out for emotional support.
