Kim Thiboldeaux
President & CEO

Kim joined The Wellness Community in 2000 as President and CEO. In 2009, the headquarter offices of The Wellness Community and Gilda’s Club joined forces to become the Cancer Support Community, where Kim has maintained her role as President and CEO. Kim is the co-author of Reclaiming Your Life After Diagnosis (2012), The Total Cancer Wellness Guide (2007), and she is the host of Frankly Speaking About Cancer, an Internet talk radio show that airs weekly on VoiceAmerica.com. Kim also serves in numerous leadership roles in the cancer and health care communities.

Linda House
Executive Vice President, External Affairs

Linda joined CSC with around 30 years of experience working in the cancer care environment, 17 years being direct patient care in the acute and hospice care setting. Immediately prior to joining CSC, Linda served as Executive Director of St. Vincent Cancer Care in Indianapolis. Prior to that, Linda was Senior Director of Advocacy and Professional Relations for Lilly Oncology.

Alpha Lillstrom, JD
Senior Director, Cancer Policy Institute 

Alpha Lillstrom served as Senior Policy Advisor and Counsel for Health and Judiciary issues for Senator Jon Tester (Montana) where she advised Senator Tester throughout the landmark debate and passage of the Affordable Care Act and served as the primary point of contact for patient advocates, stakeholders and administrators on both the state and national levels.  Alpha also worked on issues of election law and privacy as well as government transparency and accountability.  In 2003, she graduated from American University’s Washington College of Law and earned a MA from American University’s School of International Service where she focused on China policy.  As a young breast cancer survivor, Alpha also brings a strong personal perspective to the Cancer Support Community.

Michelle Johnston-Fleece, MPH
Director, State Initiatives

Michelle oversees the CPI’s state policy and advocacy activities in coordination with CSC’s local affiliates across the U.S.  Prior to joining CSC, Michelle worked for the American Board of Internal Medicine and ABIM Foundation, as well as Einstein Healthcare Network, focusing on health policy, health care delivery and patient advocacy.  Prior to that, she worked for a number of nonprofit organizations focused on providing supportive services for the critically ill and social justice. She has also been an active advocate on cancer issues for a decade after serving as a caregiver for her husband Matthew, who died in 2004.

Libby Mullin

Policy Advisor

Libby serves as the CSC's policy consultant. Libby brings over 20 years of health policy experience, including a deep understanding of politics and process. She has helped numerous advocacy organizations shape and successfully advance their legislative and regulatory priorities as well as strengthen their strategic alliances and overall presence in Washington. Prior to starting Mullin Strategies in 1999, Libby held several senior positions on Capitol Hill.
