CSC Announces Partnership with Actress and Breast Cancer Survivor Christina Applegate
This year, the Cancer Support Community partnered with the Entertainment Industry Foundation and Christina Applegate to expand education and financial resources available through Christina’s foundation, Right Action for Women.

Next Steps for the Breast Cancer M.A.P. Project
On December 1-2, the Cancer Support Community’s Research and Training Institute hosted its second annual National Advisory Council meeting for the Cancer Survivor Registry: The Breast Cancer M.A.P (Mind Affects the Physical) Project.

Groundbreaking Ceremony: The Wellness Community of Philadelphia and the Cancer Support Community's Research & Training Institute
On Tuesday, December 14, a groundbreaking ceremony was held on the on the grounds of the shared campus of The Wellness Community of Philadelphia and the Cancer Support Community’s Research & Training Institute to mark the commencement of the renovation of the Sheep Barn and Ridgeland Mansion at The Suzanne Morgan Center at Ridgeland.

At the age of 43, after attending her routine mammogram, Bea learned she had Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS)—the most common form of noninvasive breast cancer. There was no lump. No family history of breast cancer. Her scheduled mammogram was the only avenue that allowed her to learn of her diagnosis.
