Have you ever been up late at night or felt you were the only one going through this?
Do you want to speak to others going through the same thing?
Are you unable to get to a support group?
Then The Living Room is the place for you! In addition to our 50 plus local centers around the world and dozens of community partners, the Cancer Support Community offers The Living Room, your online Cancer Support Community where you can connect with others 24/7.
The Living Room offers a full suite of services - just online!
We have online cancer support groups that are led by licensed mental health professionals, discussion boards on topics like Breast Cancer, Living Life After Treatment or Caregiving, and a way for you to create your own personal webpage. Joining is easy -- sign up above and begin browsing the support topics.
Online Cancer Support Groups
These real-time groups meet online in a chat room for 90 minutes each week, and are facilitated by professionals specially trained in the issues you face and in running online cancer support groups. We offer groups for people with cancer, caregivers and those dealing with bereavement. You can sign up for a group to share and learn from other people in a similar situation.
Cancer Discussion Boards
Connect with other members of The Living Room by participating in our discussion boards. These boards are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and cover a variety of topics. Receive advice, support and offer tips to other people going through similar cancer experiences.
Create Your own Personal Webpage
Create a private, personal page to help keep family and friends involved and informed. On your page you can blog, post photos or videos, and share your calendar with the people who are close to you. They can send comments and offer support or respond to your request for help as well. Staying connected is so important and this is an easy way for you to do that from the time of your diagnosis through treatment and after treatment ends.
