Individuals and families facing a cancer diagnosis often worry about the financial aspects related to treatment. Stress increases as questions abound, such as: Will my insurance cover my care? Will I be able to work through treatment or will I need to take time off from work? Will my family be burdened with a huge debt? Discussions about money in the midst of a cancer diagnosis can be difficult, however; having an open conversation about cancer-related costs is important and can help reduce the financial impact of cancer treatment.
