International Program

The Cancer Support Community (CSC) and LIVESTRONG™ also partnered with a team at the BC Cancer Agency, Vancouver, through funding from the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer, to add Canadian context to the program material and create a Canadian version of Cancer Transitions®. The BC Cancer Agency (BCCA) is an agency of the Provincial Health Services Authority which provides population-based cancer control programming for the residents of British Columbia and the Yukon. The BCCA Survivorship Program was founded in 2009 to coordinate the Cancer Agency’s efforts in survivorship research and practice. The Cancer Transitions® program has been offered at over fifteen institutions in Canada since its adaptation in 2009.  For more information about the availability of the Canadian program, please contact Elizabeth Welborn, Coordinator of Outreach at Elizabeth@cancersupportcommunity.org.
