CSC is active year-round in networking and sharing findings with other research leaders around the world. Chris Gayer, Ph.D., Research Manager at CSC’s Research and Training Institute, attended the 65th Annual Gerontological Society of America (GSA) conference in San Diego in November. During the three-day meeting, Chris presented findings on CancerSupportSource, CSC’s validated distress screening program, to researchers, administrators, advocates and medical professionals from around the country. He also presented research from his own dissertation work on the impact of a cancer diagnosis on cancer-related decision making. You can read more about Chris’s experience on the CSC Blog
Where else has CSC been lately? We networked with the breast cancer community at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium in December, sharing our research initiatives and many resources for people affected by breast cancer. We also attended the American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting in December.
