Kim welcomed Showtime hit series “The Big C” creator and executive producer, Darlene Hunt, for a rare look into the real-life inspiration behind Showtime’s hit series. The episode covered the role the
show plays in the broader cancer community and lessons learned from the main character’s journey, as a person newly diagnosed with cancer.
Jonathan Levine, Director of the movie 50/50, joined to discuss the movie and what it means for young adults living with cancer. 50/50 chronicles Adam, a 27-year-old diagnosed with cancer, and follows him through a comical account of his journey to beat the disease. Also joining were Jonny Imerman, young adult cancer survivor and founder of Imerman Angels and Vicki Kennedy, LCSW, CSC’s Vice President of Program Development and Delivery.
Kim discussed the new book, Dr Chopra Says: Medical Facts and Myths Everyone Should Know with authors Dr. Sanjiv Chopra, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Dr. Alan Lotvin, Cardiologist and former CSC Board Member. The authors provided medical insight about an array of controversial top¬ics that have dominated medical argument in recent years.
