In June, The Cancer Support Community attended the 2012
American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting in Chicago, joining more than 25,000 oncology professionals from around the world.
CSC exhibited at the ASCO-Sponsored Patient Advocacy Booth and got the opportunity to meet oncologists, nurses, allied health professionals, patient advocates and survivors during the three-day meeting. CSC reconnected with current advocacy partners and made wonderful new connections, all to continue to provide educational, social and emotional support to all people impacted by cancer.
Finally, a big thanks to
Gilda’s Club Chicago for helping staff the booth each day. It was wonderful to work with such great colleagues, and to be able to provide insight to booth visitors about what the Cancer Support Community does at both a local and national level. Until next year!
